FCEA

Simon is co-founder and co-director, with Dr. Wil Burns, of The Forum for Climate Engineering Assessment (FCEA). FCEA is a scholarly initiative of the School of International Service at American University in Washington DC. Its overarching objective is to assess the social, ethical, political, and legal implications of emerging technologies that fall under the broad topic of climate engineering (sometimes referred to as climate geoengineering).

FCEA produces high-quality and policy-relevant research and commentary, works directly with policy and civil society actors to shape the climate engineering agenda, and operates in a variety of ways to ensure that the climate engineering conversation maintains a focus on issues of justice, equity, agency, and inclusion.
